Where should I go to watch the last shuttle launch?

I'm going to Florida in July to watch the final shuttle launch and I wanted to know where the best free public place to sit and watch was. space view park? cocoa beach? Kennedy point park? Those are the ones I read about, but I want opinions from people who have been there. I'm looking for a place where its easy to see the launch all the way through and hear and feel the rumble. I'm from Ohio and this will be my first (and last, obviously) launch so I want to get the most out of it. Thanks :)
