Help with scene hair ?

Hey, I dress kinda scene and have that type of friends and I want to make hair a bit more Scene but what should I do ? How should I get cut ? I can dye parts of it but not all my hair so what colour ? I was thinking purple underneath to show through ? How should I get it cut ?? Cheers :)
