What is the value of a 1964 Kennedy half dollar in good shape?

The 1964 Kennedy 1/2 did indeed have a large mintage for it was the first one and everyone wanted at least one of them due to Kennedy's death. In circulated grades (wear on coin) the coin sells or is bought more due to its silver content then anything else. As of the close of business Friday silver spot was $35.78 an ounce so the 1/2 dollar has $12.94 in silver so a dealer would pay around $10 and sell for $15. In mint state it would sell for around $20 depeding on what mint state grade it was. Hope this helps
